Dismantling tents (containments) are serving for decommissioning of disused glove boxes or other nuclear facilities. The massive aluminium structure enables a vaccum of up to -200 Pa. Side walls, floor and roof are hermetically welded. A large number of windows, dry box gloves, connecting locks and feedthroughs permit a safe handling of the dismantling tools from outside the tent. The dismantling tents are classified and approved as “alpha-tight encasement”. This flexible solution generates a minimum of waste disposal.
